Prescription costs
How typical. Someone in upper income brackets is (think Casablanca) shocked, shocked! that prescription drug costs are high. He's been living under the delusion of insurance co-pay being the only thing that matters. Hello? It's because of this stupid behavior that the drug companies have gotten away with gouging people for all these years. If people understood and paid for the medical costs without being sheilded by insurance EOB gobbledygook medical costs wouldn't be such a train wreck. Now I'm all in favor of insurance being used to help manage risk. But the extent to which it's been abused has left us in really bad condition. Market forces need better application in the medical industry.
