	<mt:body><![CDATA[<p>....sigh... the xml-dev mailing list seems to be stuck in broken record mode.  They're once again back beating the dead horse that is variable typing.  Static, dynamic, strong, weak, etc... ICK.  </p>

<p>It just as bad, if not worse, than the mindless arguments the old usenet people waged.  7bit or 8bit?  Plain or MIME?  Heh, it's probably right up there with the vi vs emacs crusades.</p>

<p>Is there some "law" that covers all arguments falling into this trap?  Anyway, it's a shame to see the really bright folks in XML wasting their time and energy on this crap.</p>]]></mt:body>
