Sayings

Everyone's got some favorite quotes or sayings. Here are a few of mine:

  • Asking programmers to write social software is like asking deaf people to make violins. No offense to the hearing impaired, of course as this is just an analog, but while it might look like a violin, it sure as hell won't sound like a violin.
  • God, save me from your followers.
  • People, please!
  • Well let's just say it sucks less.
  • I wouldn't call it dating, that's dressing it up a bit.
  • Peddling shit to nitwits and 'pimp your demographics to sell you yet another pair of overpriced sneakers'.
  • It's called work for a reason. If it was fun they'd call it that.
  • Beware the tyranny of bad tools and bad management.
  • You spill the milk to discover how big the table is.
  • Nothing brings the experts out of the woodwork like an idiot speaking his mind.
  • Kill your UI people. If you fire them, they'll go to work somewhere else and perpetuate their evils.
  • Asking programmers to make social software is like asking deaf people to make violins.
  • Never attribute to malice that which can be attributed to stupidity or lack of serotonin reuptake.
  • When did porn become mainstream and advertising go underground?

I'll try adding more over time.

In addition, Anything voiced by the cartoon character Foghorn Leghorn.
