Foaf ownership?
Daniel Krech (eikon) made a suggestion in IRC that one could add an rdfs:isDefinedBy in their foaf to help solidify which foaf URL is the one 'in charge' of making statements about themselves. This would allow better control over how software can be 'sure' which foaf is yours or not.
This leads to the theoretical question of how a defining statement gets made. Are we defining the person, the document, the URL, or what? Brighter minds than mine can answer that question. While I'm mindful that following proper RDF concepts is important, I'd really like to have a workable answer. Some of the RDF theory stuff ends up dragging what ought to be a simple idea into very gnarly areas...
My point here simply to find a way to allow a program to work it's way back across the foafspace to find which URL is THE ONE that's in charge of making statements about a person. This to give the people themselves their own 'official' place to make foaf statements.
How we eventually lead to negating the statements made elsewhere is a whole other can of worms. where's my can opener....
