Running WinVNC?

Fwd: Re. Port 445 issues (was: Port 80 Issues) and Internet Storm Center report.

Comments (scroll down to see all 3 comments...)

I have a customer running W2K, that has an unsolicted version of WinVNC running on his system. I find no executables for the app., no installation history, and no way to uninstall/disable/delete it. I delete the two Registry entries I find, but they are rewritten - and the app. loads everytime I reboot. I'd like to know how it got on his machine (who would be distributing/installing it as part of another application installation) and how I can remove it from his machine.

Any ideas?
