Slow window.open in IE?
So what's the deal here? Does IE have an unresolved bug with using a name on a window.open command? It sure looks like it. Is there a way to update IE so that it doesn't take so damned long to open a window?

IE searches all open applications that host an IE window. You'll find window.open goes very slow when, say, you have a number of Windows Explorers Open. Try closing all other application apart from the IE you're interested int. Its rubbish I agree.
