Windows navigation tip
For what it's worth, when you're saving files on a Windows box and you need to change directories, you can type the pathname in the saved filename entry box.
So when you want to Save a file and it prompts your for it's name you can type a pathname and it'll move you to that location. As in, download a file and it opens a save location that's not the one you want. No big deal, the name is already selected, CUT that from the entry box, use Control-X. This keeps the old filename, which you'll need to save as eventually. Now type a full pathname to a location. I typically use a UNC pathname like \\machinename\share\folder\to\save\files\. This will jump you right to that location. Now paste the filename back in and save.
You can also just type the full pathname with the file if you'd like. Just jump to the start of the entry box, type in the full path before the name and hit save.
I suppose this isn't news to people using Windows alot but some folks might find it helpful. I use it all the time.
