Keeping digging

Winer, once again, proves what a real jerk he is. Sam Ruby and others keep hoping Dave will somehow wise up and stop being such an ass. Time and again Dave steps up and dashes any such hopes.

At what point will Dave's motto "still digging" become clear to him that he's digging his own grave? Let's hope it's not, as I've been called monstrous for saying before, a deathbed conversion.

The crux of things here is Dave's got the attention span of a goddamned gnat but the ego the size of a small planet (or perhaps just a gas (bag) giant). If Dave can't toss off some quick hack that makes him look good he shits all over the idea.

Now I ask you, is this how Harvard wants the public to see its staff behave? Posting obscenities and insults? What WERE they thinking when they hired such a jerk?

CSS is one of those 'when you get, you get it' sort of things. Dave, apparently, doesn't get it. That or he's off his meds again, weekends tend to bring out the worst in him.

I only discovered this shitstorm through Daypop, since Winerlog is down. Where is Zaphod when we need him most?

Well-spotted Bill, a classic. I nearly missed it too.

Funnily enough Dave's recently been recommending the Linux Advocacy Canons of Conduct, the second sentence of which reads : "Refrain from name-calling and use of vulgar language."

Bill Kearney, you complain a lot. Try taking a risk, support some users, stick your neck out, create something. Then you'll get respect. This is no way to get respect. Even though you say terrible things about me, I only wish you the best. Good luck to you and god bless.

Well, isn't this a hoot. Dave trying lecture.... again!

This from the guy that goes out of his way to e-mail me obscenties when I sought support, insult me, censor mailing lists, delete posts, slander me and call my friends on the phone to leave offensive messages about me! Then there's the other bits of back-stabbing in standards work and the rest.

If those are your ideas of God's blessings for me then please, leave me out of what you think of as prayers.

You're a sick man Dave. The sooner those poor bastards up at Harvard discover it the better off they'll be. Keep digging, you'll make it a grave sooner or later.

Bill,

I can't believe you have an entire section on your home page dedicated to nitpicking D. Winer. You crack me up.

What do you mean by "digging a grave?" Is the "sick man" bit a reference to his heart operation or just Freudian?

Posted by: Synder on June 3, 2003 12:23 PM

Freudian. As in, when Dave lies and claims people are making death threats.
