XP media player supports Blogging?
Apparently Microsoft is starting to implement blogging features. The latest is a plug-in for Media Player 9 that posts using w.bloggar. It's part of the Media Player 9 Fun Pack and can be downloaded here.
It appears to support a pretty wide range of hosting solutions.
For those of you so inclined, there's also developer info and code samples for making your own.
What you get is an option for w.bloggar to either manually or automatically insert what is currently being heard using the media player. The plug-in lets you control what sort of HTML snippet will be inserted and where.
If you use media player to listen to music and want to share it in your posts this plug-in might be worth checking out. Me, I'd rather having something a little more sophisticated. I don't listen to music from my working desktops. I have a whole other machine that sits running the various music players. The plug-in architecture might be an interesting way to integrate it into this process. I'll have to dig a little deeper.
Meanwhile, those of you using w.bloggar or livejournal and media player on XP might want to check it out.
