Community metadata?
How about developing a way for a community at large to create a category list?
That is, something that was semantically rich without being a pain in the ass to use. Hey, I can wish, can't it?
What I'm thinking about here is a list of some kind that is vetted by the community members. Rated or otherwise approved as being 'useful' within the group. Keywords might be one place to start. Within given groups there are probably a subset of a few dozen keywords that could considered relevent enough to be useful. Likewise a group of 'concepts' or topics could similarly be distilled.
This would afford a way for members of such a community to apply markup to their various online resources.
There have been various attempts at this and yet no all around solution has yet to emerge.
