Joi Ito's get together
Thanks go out to Joi Ito for coordinating last night's party. Nice job!
The food was tasty, although I like Bacchus better, and they ran out of Moroccan beer. "Just get the guy with the fez if you want a drink". The belly dancer was entertaining, made even more so when the audience participation part started. I'll put pix online later.
Fortunately there wasn't a keynote session masquerading as a rambling diatribe going on. So meeting up with Halley was a lot more pleasant this time. Doubly so with her and Liz joining the belly dancer.
I've a stash of cards and names certainly worth name-dropping here. Given my penchant for forgetting names I'm going to make sure I have the right faces to the right names first.
Once again, meeting people in person is just so much more useful than electronic correspondence alone. Thanks Joi!
