Blocking spyware
Two tools no Windows should ever be without: Spybot Search and Destroy and SpywareBlaster. The combination of these two will help you find if you've already got a spyware program installed and then help avoid any new ones ever getting installed.
The problem is worse than you think. If you're on a Windows box download and run Spybot S&D and see for yourself. You'll be unpleasantly surprised to see what may already have been loaded on your machine.
