Mac-on-Linux via Cygwin?
Hmmm, if I'm reading things right I ought to be able to use YDL on a Macintosh to startup Mac-on-linux (MOL) via an X session. This would mean I could boot the Mac into Linux, remotely connect to it via Cygwin from my Windows boxes and then startup MOL and run native Mac applications.
Why? Oh, no useful reason other than because I can.
There's even the obligatory screenshot of a Macintosh running Linux, then running MOL and then running Virtual PC inside that! I shudder to think what the performance hit would be...
I could imagine this being useful, however, if you needed to give the occasional user a Macintosh session. This way they could just remote to it instead of hassling with trying to use a Macintosh on a daily basis. It'd also be a fine way to extract data from old programs once you've switched from using a Mac to linux or Windows.
