Freight trains of data
In moving Syndic8 from the old box to a new one I've had to move over 15gb of mostly compressed data. We're moving from a $99/mo single processor box to a $250/mo quad Xeon server.
Being as I started with online stuff back in the days of 300 baud modems I'm seriously impressed at the network performance available today. It's moving 100mb segments in around 10 minutes. Damn! From my perspective that's just smokin!!
