As simple as possible but no simpler
Winer's got his head up his ass again. Like this is a surprise.
Now he's off on some jag about forcing sites to publish a fixed URL for RSS feeds.
This, as opposed to using the already well-established practice of <link> tags in the <head> section of HTML pages.
We're trashing it out in the syndication mailing lists. Join the fray if you'd like.
Meanwhile there's a conspiracy afoot!
FDML is coming out from hiding and will probably be the defacto standard for doing this. Good thing, as I've a lot more trust in the stewardship offered by Sam and the gang instead of Winer's half-baked and poorly thought out hacks.
