Tell me how Dean's not another Carter

Geez, the politcal landscape is a mess lately.

Ok, tell me why Dean's little more than another Jimmy Carter. Tell me how his lack of understanding about the Washington process works won't be just the same sort of train wreck? All the same warning bells keep going off here.

All I can say about Clark is are you sure you want to elect a career warmonger to the exective office? I mean, get real, this is a guy whose sum total of lifetime work has been entirely in the military! Y'now that place that's so much like the real world where people stick to procedure, follow rules, get promoted based on peer selection, not elections or market performance, don't break chain of command (except Clark himself!) Right, like that gives him even the remotest chance of being an effective head of the executive branch.

I'm just gobsmacked to hear otherwise intelligent people campaiging to support what'd undoubtedly come off looking like a military coup d'etat.

Now this pains me to even hint about it. But think about the association issues of Lieberman, the middle east, global tension zionist and other conspiracies. The guy really does have some quite interesting perspectives on things. But it'd be like storing the gasoline with the lit matches to think having him as President wouldn't be an absolute train wreck because of religion. Do not read me wrong here, as I have absolutely no bias against his faith. I'm just worried that the undue influences and even unfounded conspiracy rumors would be unacceptably harmful to the country to have him elected President. This is a shame, he really does come off as the smartest of the bunch dumb enough to want the damned job.

Gephardt, Kucinich... that'd just be mean to make 1st graders have to spell their names in civics classes.

Sharpton or Mosely-Braun, as if Lieberman wouldn't have enough trouble with international issues, this pair would certainly do a fair amount of destablize national issues. I mean, besides their having demonstrated no obvious desire to represent the entire country without resorting to biased rhetoric.

I tell you, there's a part of me that's got this sneaking suspicion if one of these nitwits were to get Hilary Clinton to run as VP the whole damn thing would just go completely insane. They'd fall all over themselves to crank up the rhetoric machinery. Just the estranged wife angle would draw them to the polls like flies.

The others, well, can't say much because they're not getting much out for us to hear.

And then in the other corner we've got Bush. All I can say is I wish the guy had even the slighest bit of presense. Every time I see or hear him speak I'm left thinking 'good lord what an inarticulate dolt!' The guy's presentation just completely lacks anything resembling savvy leadership influence. Now I'm sure there's a tremendous talent behind that facade but I've been looking real hard and he's doing a helluva job hiding it.

So is there a candidate worth supporting? Frankly not from what I've seen thus far. It's sad but it looks like we're going to have yet another election where we're faced with having to pick the least harmful candidate instead of the best. Who the least harmful would be will be is anyone's guess. But none of them come anything close to my thinking them as 'the best' candidate for the job.
